In the second semester of their Electrical Engineering (EE) diploma, students will tackle MSBTE theory exams, with 70 marks allocated for three key subjects: Applied Mathematics, Elements of Electronics, and Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering. Basic Electrical Engineering, though internal, provides essential knowledge from the Electricalengineering domain. Additionally, there's an online exam for the Applied Science subject, carrying 70 marks. The educational approach places significant emphasis on practical, hands-on learning.

Throughout this semester, Electrical Engineering students will delve into subjects crucial to their field: Elements of Electronics and Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering. Applied Mathematics and Applied Science are integral to the curriculum, offering insights into the practical applications of mathematics and science, essential for mastering electrical engineering concepts. The inclusion of Basic ElectricalEngineering imparts knowledge from the Electrical domain, complementing the understanding required for electrical engineering studies.

The K Scheme Curriculum by MSBTE simplifies the passing criteria, requiring a minimum score of 40 out of 100. The evaluation system adopts a 30-70 mark structure, incorporating formative (FA-TH) and summative (SA-TH) assessments. Formative assessments involve the average of two 30-mark class tests conducted during the semester, while summative assessments entail the 70-mark theory paper administered by MSBTE at the semester's end.

The revised 'K' Scheme Curriculum for the Diploma, officially announced in November 2023, introduces students to an enriched learning experience. The draft curriculum up to the sixth semester is available, providing a roadmap for students as they progress in their studies. Starting from the second year, students will delve into more technical subjects, enhancing their understanding of Electrical Engineering.
